Lovely’s beginnings centered around our fields of fresh grown sweet corn.  This is how we got our start… fresh picked sweet corn daily.  Last year, Lovely’s grew many varieties of sweet corn, white, yellow, and bi-color corn.  Many have unusual names and our customers certainly have their favorites.  On some days, we have all three as a choice!  We stagger our plantings so as to have fresh sweet corn throughout the summer and fall.  We sell our corn by the ear or by the dozen and in mid-July and August we offer freezer corn.  Freezer corn is sweet corn that is bought in large quantities (usually 5 dozen or more) at a discounted price.  The corn is blanched, cut off the cob, and placed in freezer bags into freezer by the customer.  This way our customers can have the freshness of summer even when the snow is blowing outside.

Our customers can actually try the different types of sweet corn in our cafe. The "Corn of the Day" sign goes up when we begin picking fresh corn. From field to pot, can't get much fresher than that!  Try delicious fried chicken and your choice of our many homemade salads.

Did I mention our homegrown Tennessee Tomatoes?  We are so fortunate to have our tomato man deliver fresh picked tomatoes beginning in mid-May throughout the summer.  If you've never enjoyed a Tennessee Tomato, you are in for a treat!  They are DELICIOUS!!!!

Take a walk outside to our garden.  In early March, we plant lettuces and green onions to sale in May.  Steve gets up early every morning to cut lettuce, and pull onions.  Did you know that we use our own grown vegetables in the foods served in our cafe?
